The Metropolitan Insurance provider (MET) has re-branded to Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited following its acquisition by the South African Insurer.

“Today, equally an early lady may get married and voluntarily handle the naming of her chosen wife, we at MET are determined to take on a whole new name. Were now Hollard,” Mrs Lynda Odru, Top dog, Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited, said on a ceremony to outdoor the revolutionary name.

She said MET had over time became a very respected and recognizable brand noted for its ethical, professional and empathetic character by customers and competitors.

Mrs Odru said with Hollard, the insurance company would blend its local expertise together with the global capabilities given to it to create a global brand having a local focus.

She said using a bigger balance sheet, Hollard Ghana will be able to adopt?bigger risks.

“Thanks around the world class profession System, the procedure flow process, and access to Centres of Excellence at Hollard, we are going to easily be far more efficient, enabling us to get operational excellence that can mean greater value for that customers,” she said.

Mrs Odru said if Hollard Ghana would maintain its position on the list of top 5 companies in Ghana’s crowded insurance industry, business growth and profitability are key and pledged her team’s readiness combine local knowledge in the Ghanaian market using the experience, skills and capacity of Hollard to accomplish results.

She said Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited would want customers and partners have fun with a sustainable future and feel understood, supported, and empowered from the products, services and relationships we will need to offer.

Mr Brooks Mparutsa, Founder in the Hollard Group, said the business would leverage within the local expertise in the MET team to generate an aggressive insurance business.

“MET has built a brand for excellence and professionalism in Ghana, something we’re very proud of and can retain going forward,” he explained.

Mrs Lydia Lariba Bawa, the Commissioner of Insurance, lauded the partnership between MET and Hollard and expressed the hope who’s would help deepen the insurer market.

Hollard is a large corporation that has a global reach. Based in Africa, the group contains a global strategy that’s seen it open branches in China, India, Pakistan and also Zambia, Mozambique, Namibia and Botswana.

Ghana is its first stop on its West Africa road map, after 36 months of discussions with MET Insurance.
