Halifax-headquartered engineering business Northern Escalator Installations has secured a 6.4 million investment from BGF to support its expansion in great britain and Europe.
Founded by MD Kevin Johnson in 1999, the provider installs, refurbishes and repairs escalators and features worked on projects at Anfield Football Stadium in Liverpool and Paddington Station.
The group generated revenues of in excess of 12 million in 2017.
It uses the funding to expand its services which, in combination with installation and maintenance, include storage, design, build-up, transportation and modernisation.
The business works closely with major escalator and lift manufacturers and is well placed to capitalise increasing fast in commercial and transport infrastructure projects.
As perhaps the investment, Stuart Black joins the firm as non-executive Chair following an introduction by BGF.
Mr Black is additionally Chair of BGF-backed TCL, an estate management business, and features been supporting its expansion throughout the UK. Gareth Judson also joins the board as Operations Director.
Mr Johnson said: “BGF’s long-term minority investment will allow us to press forward with this growth plans while retaining control of the business enterprise. To offer to handling the BGF team, and welcoming Stuart Black for the board.”
