WASHINGTON — House Republicans advanced a measure pressing Justice Department officials to give more documents on investigative actions in the 2016 presidential election, or risk contempt of Congress or impeachment.
The House Judiciary Committee voted along party lines Tuesday to escalate pressure on Deputy Attorney General Ron Rosenstein handy over material, including some linked to the origins in the investigation into whether President Donald Trump colluded with Russia’s meddling inside the 2016 election.
