Works has begun with a new 1 million warehouse facility for Thirsk-based chemical processing business, Cod Beck Blenders.
The expansion along at the company’s purpose-built facility in Dalton was facilitated using a grant in the Let’s Grow Regional Growth Fund.
Cod Beck Blender is adding almost 50% to the current storage capacity having a further 1,450 pallet spaces.
The new warehouse will incorporate a mixture of standard pallet racking and drive-in high storage density racking to offer flexibility to service both large and small customers and even maximising space.
Construction effort is scheduled to finish during the early September along with the facility expected to be operational several weeks later.
MD Steven Meyer said: “The increased capacity allows us continue to service our current customers’ needs and even including further growth which is an illustration in our ongoing commitment to our Dalton site.”
